Who are the Garbage Goats?
Goats have a gnarly reputation. Most people think these rebellious, horned bad boys of the farm will eat anything. In reality, goats mostly eat grass and weeds, and they’re friendly, social animals that are deeply devoted to their herd.
The Garbage Goats are a network of volunteers that have a lot of respect for the goat. Like them, we strive to turn what many people deem as negatives, into opportunities for nourishment. Volunteering doesn’t pay much, but anyone who’s done it knows that not all rewards are monetary. Whether it be cleaning up trash, planting trees, organizing bingo night at the old folks home, or walking dogs at the shelter – The Garbage Goats will show up hungry.
Our partnership with Karma Coordinate allows us to secure the funding needed to organize and facilitate events all over the United States.
